Working with technical assistance from MIT and Machine Science, students at the John D. O'Bryant School in Roxbury created remotely operated underwater vehicles (RUVs). A range of plastics and other building materials were used, including PVC foamboard and pipes. One team built their own tilt-sensing controller, using an accelerometer on a Machine Science breadboard.
