This unique shield opens up virtually all of the Machine Science XIPMods and robotics projects to Arduino users. The shield is designed to seat securely on top of any standard Arduino board, with pass-through male-female headers allowing complete access to the underlying Arduino I/O ports. The shield features two RJ-25 network jacks for making easy connections to the XIPMods network, as well as three-prong bent headers for quick connections to servo motors and our infrared distance and reflectance sensors. Three I2C docks are compatible with our I2C sensor and actuator boards, including the three-axis accelerometer board.
Almost all of the Machine Science code libraries for controlling the XIPMods, driving servo motors, and reading data from I2C sensors and IR sensors can easily be imported into the Arduino IDE. For set-up instructions, see the Guide link below.
What's Included
- Arduino shield
- Battery holder (4AA)
NOTE: An Arduino is not included with the shield. The shield is compatible with any Arduino with the standard footprint.
